एक दूर के गाँव में, अपनी पत्नी और छोटे बच्चे के साथ एक किसान रहता था। किसान के पास सुल्तान नाम का एक वफादार कुत्ता भी था .. जो बूढ़ा हो गया था … बेचारा कुत्ता अपने सारे दाँत खो चुका था और अपने भोजन को ठीक से काट भी नहीं सकता था।
जब सुल्तान छोटा था, तो उसके तेज भौंकने से दूर से भी लुटेरे डर जाते थे। लेकिन अब बुढ़ापे के साथ। लुटेरे अब सुल्तान से नहीं डरते थे। किसान को लगा कि यह सुल्तान को छोड़ने का समय है। मैं अब सुल्तान की देखभाल नहीं कर सकता। मैं उसे जंगल में छोड़ने जा रहा हूं।
हम सुल्तान को उसके बूढ़े उम्र में ऐसा कैसे कर सकते हैं?
सुल्तान अपनी समस्याओं के बारे में अपने अच्छे दोस्त, भेड़िया, में विश्वास करने के लिए जंगल में चला गया .. भेड़िया को अपने दोस्त के लिए बुरा लगा और तरंत एक उज्ज्वल विचार आया।

सुल्तान, मुझे बख्श दो। मैं गलती पर नहीं हूं। दोषी पेड़ में ऊपर है। उसने मुझे यहाँ आने के लिए कहा था .. हुह? तुम वहाँ ऊपर क्या कर रहे हो? उतरो, तुम्हारे दोस्त तुमसे मिलने आए हैं।
भेड़िया शर्मिंदा था कि वह एक कुत्ते से डर गया था! इसके अलावा, अपराधबोध की भावना ने उसे ढंक दिया क्योंकि उसे एहसास हुआ कि वह कितना स्वार्थी हो गया था। जिस क्षण भेड़िया पेड़ से नीचे गिरा, सुल्तान ने उसे एक दोस्ताना गले लगाया .. और दोनों के बीच दरार तुरंत गायब हो गई। भेड़िया ने अपने व्यवहार के लिए माफी मांगी और सुल्तान के साथ फिर से अच्छे दोस्त होने का वादा किया।

The poor dog lost all his teeth and could not even bite his food properly. When Sultan was younger, his sharp barks would scare the robbers even from a distance. But now with old age. The robbers were not scared of Sultan anymore.
The farmer felt that it was about time to give up on Sultan. I cannot take care of Sultan any longer. I am going to abandon him in the forest.
How can we do this to Sultan in his Old Age?
Sultan went to the forest to confide in his good friend, the wolf, about his problems.. Wolf felt bad for his friend and immediately came up with a bright idea.
The next day, as usual, the farmer and his wife went to the farm to till the land. Their little baby was neatly placed under the shade of a tree. Sultan was on guard of the little baby.
The Wolf came near Sultan and said… Now bark loudly and run behind me. The farmer and his wife left their work and started running behind the dog and wolf. Sultan put his entire might and chased the wolf.. and finally, they stopped inside a dark cave.
Sultan, take this child and go back home. Your keepers will think that you have rescued the baby. They will begin trusting you. Thanks, dear friend! The farmer and his wife heaved a sigh of relief on seeing Sultan with their little baby. The Farmer lovingly patted his dog and said… Forgive me, my dear friend. You will stay with me forever!
